Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation has been setup under the aegis of the Ministry of Urban Affairs & Employment, Government of India, to undertake Group Housing Schemes for the Central Government Employees on all India and no profit-no-loss basis.
The organization has been registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in July 1990. Kendriya Vihar II have 20 Blocks and each Block have been so laid out that almost each block has parking space on one side and open green area on the other side. The Stilts as well as open parking has been provided all around the blocks with neat and clean driveways. Kendriya Vihar II has been designed in such a way that all the dwelling units are approachable by motorable roads.
Central open green space has been provided to which all the blocks are opening up. Pathways have been provided. Adequate space for children play area has been provided with approx. 5000 sq. m. of park Area. The complex is secured by an aesthetically pleasing compound wall in stone masonary. Guard Rooms for watch and ward are also constructed to ensure security of the complex. The entry to the complex is restricted through a main gate and installed 5 CC Camera's to monitor the incoming / outgoing traffic. The’re around 582 families that live in the campus.
4 types of residental units viz Type A (One bed room and a drawing/Dining), Type B (Two Bed rooms and a Drawing/Dining), Type C (Three bedrooms and a drawing/dinning) and Type D (Three bedrooms, a Study room and a drawing /dining). These 4 types of units have been provided in high rise (Ground/Stilt+6) configuration. All the units are functionally designed. Balconies, comfortable staircase and fire escape staircases have been provided for all the units. Lifts have been provided in all blocks. There are 2 lifts for each block.
